Digital Wallet

Northwestern Mutual Credit Union makes it simple to pay with your credit or debit card. Use your phone, watch or tablet to make easy, secure payments with your VISA debit card or credit card using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

Look for the symbol below at checkout, then simply tap, pay & go. It’s that easy.

  1. Add your Northwestern Mutual Credit Union card to any of the digital wallet options below.
  2. Activate your digital wallet and tap the payment terminal.
  3. That’s it!

PLUS – it’s completely secure.

  • Mobile payment services use tokenization to create a unique randomized set of numbers to be used at each new transaction, so your real card number is never revealed to the merchant.
  • Transactions are authenticated by your fingerprint, facial recognition, pin number or iris scan*.
  • The same fraud protection built into debit card and credit card transactions carries over to the digital wallet products.

Mobile Deposit

Deposit a check by snapping a picture with your smartphone camera. Sign-in to the Smartphone app, tap "Deposit → Deposit Check" and take a picture of your check! It’s that simple.

Deposit Guidelines

  • Up to $15,000 per day may be deposited.
  • Checks must contain both your signature and “For NMCU Mobile Deposit Only”, or it will be rejected. Do not use the Mobile Deposit check box.
  • Carefully enter check amount to ensure it matches the written amount on the check.
  • Take photo in a well-lit area and avoid shadows on the check image.
  • Keep all check corners in the view finder and hold phone flat and steady when taking the photo.
  • The MICR line (string of numbers on the bottom of the check) must be readable.
  • A solid, flat dark background behind the check works best.
  • Once the deposit is approved, the original check must be kept for 14 days, then securely destroyed.

Funds Availability

  • All mobile check deposits are subject to review and approval.
  • Be sure to check the status of your deposit within the Deposit History section of the app.
  • Funds deposited before 2:30pm on a normal business day will generally be available after 6:30pm on the same day.
  • Funds deposited after 2:30pm on a normal business day, on a weekend or an NMCU defined holiday will generally be available after 6:30pm the following business day.
  • Standard check holds may apply.
